About the Role

This is an excellent chance for skilled RNs to grow professionally while making a meaningful difference in patients' lives. As a Step Down Care Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act. Your expertise will play a vital role in creating a safe and therapeutic environment for our patients.

  • Perform initial triage evaluation and assign acuity level to patients;
  • Administer treatments, medications, and procedures within the scope of practice;
  • Participate in coordination of care with management staff, team leaders, physicians, department staff, and ancillary services;
  • Be responsible for delegation of duties to technical support staff, maintaining accountability of delegation;

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing;
  • Licensure: Current KY RN or Compact State License in the state of residence;
  • BLS obtained within 90 days of employment;
