We are seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) with a passion for behavioral health to join our team at Delta-T Group. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing individuals and documenting pertinent information, including Triage, Behavioral Health, Physical Health, and/or Substance Abuse issues.
Responsibilities:
- Completes detailed Nursing Assessments with individuals and documents pertinent information.
- Plans individual treatment as part of the Multidisciplinary Clinical team.
- Provides education concerning Psychiatric diagnosis, treatment options, psychopharmacology, and overall health literacy to individuals, families, and all others involved in the individual's care.
- Intervenes with appropriate verbal interventions to diffuse out of control or potentially dangerous behaviors.
- Accurately transcribes Provider orders and administers medications as prescribed.
- Performs chart checks and signs off as a second noted on medications prescribed.
- Draws labs and provides wound care as ordered by Providers when required.
- Completes nurse-to-nurse at discharge or when accepting individual from another facility.
Qualifications:
- Graduated from an accredited Nursing program.
- Unrestricted active license as Registered Professional Nurse through State Board of Nursing or hold a multistate licensure privilege.
- Must be able to perform Safe Clinch patient restraint techniques.
- American Heart Association BLS.
- At least 1 year of psychiatric, behavioral health, or relevant experience (Preferred).
- Previous emergency room or crisis psychiatric care experience (Preferred).
- Experience working with individuals with addiction and addiction management (Preferred).
