Position Overview

As a vital member of our healthcare team, the Patient Access Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring a seamless experience for patients as they navigate the registration and admissions process. This position is not just about administrative tasks; it is about making a meaningful impact on the lives of those we serve.

Your Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients, families, and visitors both in person and over the phone, facilitating appointment scheduling with the appropriate healthcare provider.
  • Evaluate patient information to establish or update accounts for individuals seeking services, including those who arrive without prior appointments.
  • Accurately register patients by inputting demographic and insurance details, while correcting any discrepancies.
  • Coordinate bed placements and transfers as requested by clinical staff.
  • Assist patients in understanding their financial responsibilities, including payment arrangements and financial assistance options.
  • Ensure all necessary documentation is completed and accurate during the registration and admissions process.
  • Collect and verify patient information, ensuring all required signatures are obtained on relevant forms.
  • Conduct insurance verifications to confirm coverage and notify insurance providers of patient admissions.
  • Provide guidance to patients regarding their financial obligations and collect payments when possible.
  • Direct patients to various departments and services within the facility.
  • Manage appointment scheduling and rescheduling as necessary, informing patients of available options.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess a High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent relevant experience.

Work Schedule

This position typically operates during daytime hours.
