Job Overview

INPEACE seeks a highly skilled and experienced Associate Program Director to oversee the implementation of the Keiki Steps project goals, objectives, and outcomes in assigned communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Program Director to plan, develop, and implement project goals in accordance with INPEACE's visions and missions.
  • Prepare reports as requested by the Program Director.
  • Confer with the lead teacher, aides, and consultants to review activities, operations, and program updates.
  • Work with the Program Director to ensure proper budget implementation, purchasing, and financial projections.
  • Administratively supervise Keiki Steps employees with clear and direct communication concerning performance, expectations, productivity, and accountability.
  • Collaborate with the Program Director in hiring decisions, performance appraisals, scheduling, training, employee development, disciplinary actions, and conflict mediation.
  • Direct and coordinate administrative functions and enforce policy for INPEACE.
  • Provide support and direction of the instructional, research, and development, and evaluation efforts of Keiki Steps.
  • Act in the absence of the Program Director on operational and administrative matters.
Requirements
  • Excellent planning, organization, coordination skills, and ability to motivate people.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to include evenings and weekends.
  • Excellent writing and verbal skills required to prepare clear and concise reports and to communicate effectively with a wide variety of audiences.
  • Ability to analyze problems, develop effective solutions, and resolve problems within a Hawaiian cultural context.
  • Knowledge of early childhood and family community resources.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in order to interact with internal and external individuals, groups, organizations, and community agencies.
  • Proven skill in working with committees/groups and facilitating meetings.
  • Ability to work independently, detail-oriented, flexible, and ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Proficient with programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of databases, preferred.
Education
  • Level 1: Bachelor's degree.
  • Level 2: Master's degree in a related field.
