Job Summary

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a highly skilled Professional Engineer to lead our hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and design efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and direction to less experienced staff, while managing daily responsibilities to meet project deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare hydrologic and hydraulic calculations, exhibits, and reports for civil infrastructure improvements.
  • Collect and analyze data, perform computer modeling, and design complex detention/retention systems that meet local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Evaluate and mitigate the impact of proposed designs on surrounding areas.
  • Prepare plans, calculations, and checklists for NPDES permit approval and compliance.
  • Develop CLOMR/LOMR applications through local municipalities and FEMA.
  • Communicate project information to stakeholders, including contractors, developers, and government agencies.
  • Monitor construction progress and inspect projects to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
  • Manage project costs and changes against budget.
  • Review and analyze engineering plans, specifications, and reports.
  • Function as a point of contact for consultants, contractors, and government agencies.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D stormwater management software.
  • Proficiency in HEC-RAS & HEC-HMS, SWMM, is preferred but not required.
  • 2-dimensional Hydraulic experience a plus.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Infraworks required.
  • Proficiency in ArcGIS required.
  • Minimum 3-7 years of previous civil engineering experience is preferred.
  • PE license preferred.
  • GSWCC Level II Certified Design Professional or ability to obtain within six months.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
