Job Summary

Communities In Schools of Eastern Pennsylvania is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President of Mission Advancement to lead our fundraising efforts and help us achieve our mission of providing support to students in need. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of successfully leading fundraising campaigns and achieving revenue targets for organizations with a $5-10MM budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to support the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Cultivate and steward relationships with major donors, foundations, corporations, and other key stakeholders to secure philanthropic support.
  • Provide leadership to regional advisory board(s), including recruitment and support.
  • Support capital campaigns, annual giving campaigns, and other fundraising initiatives, including prospect research, solicitation strategies, and donor recognition.
  • Collaborate with leadership, board members, volunteers, and site professionals to integrate fundraising efforts with organizational priorities and programs.
  • Collaborate with communications department to ensure consistent messaging across region.
  • Serve as a member of the leadership team.
  • Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships and collaborations to expand fundraising opportunities and reach new donor segments.
  • Manage budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and alignment with fundraising goals.
  • Utilize fundraising data and analytics to track performance, evaluate ROI, and make data-driven decisions to optimize fundraising strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and best practices governing fundraising activities and donor relationships.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Five (5) plus years of progressive professional experience in fundraising, development, or advancement roles, preferably in a non-profit organization.
  • Three (3) plus years of experience in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading fundraising campaigns and achieving revenue targets for organizations with a $5-10MM budget preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to set priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and effectively engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of fundraising best practices, trends, and emerging technologies.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and fundraising software, Donor Perfect preferred.
  • Ability to perform in both a strategic and tactical manner.
  • Understanding and appreciation for diverse cultures and an ability to relate well with individuals of diverse backgrounds on all levels within the agency.
