We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Structural Engineer/Designer to join our team at Gable Search Group. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing structural systems for various project types, including manufacturing, distribution, data centers, commercial buildings, churches, historical sites, public sector projects, retail spaces, adaptive reuse projects, and renovations.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Design structural systems for various project types, including manufacturing, distribution, data centers, commercial buildings, churches, historical sites, public sector projects, retail spaces, adaptive reuse projects, and renovations.
    • Engage with clients, participate in client, architect, and contractor meetings, review structural documentation, and oversee/mentor junior staff.
    • Perform design calculations, manage construction document preparation, review shop drawings and submittals, conduct site reviews, and respond to RFIs.
    • Coordinate information among all disciplines to ensure deliverables meet client expectations and quality standards.
    • Experience required in wood, steel, light gauge steel, concrete, post-tensioned concrete, and masonry design for low to mid-rise structures.
    • Need expertise in designing shallow and deep foundation systems.
    • Minimum 15 years of experience in structural engineering.
    • Must be proactive and open to learning and development.
    • Professional license is a must.
    • Seismic experience is necessary.
    • Proficient in identifying relevant codes in project-specific areas and applying them accordingly.
    • Preferred working knowledge of Revit.
    • Able to thrive in a fast-paced team environment, handle multiple projects, tasks, and deadlines effectively.
    • Familiarity with industry-standard software like Microsoft products, Bentley (RAM) products, RISA, EnerCalc, Adapt, etc.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
    • Project management skills are required.
    • Demonstrated team leadership capabilities.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in structural engineering.
  • Professional license is a must.
  • Seismic experience is necessary.
  • Proficient in identifying relevant codes in project-specific areas and applying them accordingly.
  • Preferred working knowledge of Revit.
