This role will play a pivotal part in further developing our Contracts and Legal function, ensuring compliance with Federal regulations, managing contract lifecycle activities, and fostering successful relationships with government agencies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of Federal contracts, from proposal development to contract closeout via Unanet.
  • Lead the Contracts team and function, ensuring compliance with all relevant Federal regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review, draft, and negotiate contract terms and conditions.
  • Stay abreast of changes, analyze, and interpret Federal government regulations and policies affecting government contracts.
  • Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on compliance matters related to Federal contracts.
  • Lead negotiations with government agencies, subcontractors, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Federal contracting officers and program managers.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years proven experience as a Contracts Manager with a focus on the Federal market, including 5 years managing contracts professionals.
  • Significant Contracts Management experience beyond 10 years may be substituted for education requirement.
  • Meaningful experience supporting prime contracts and subcontracts.
  • In-depth knowledge of Federal acquisition regulations (FAR), small business regulations, government procurement processes, and contract law.
  • Familiarity with various contract types, such as fixed-price, cost-reimbursement, and IDIQ contract and funding vehicles.
  • Experience working with a diverse range of Federal agencies.
Preferred Skills:
  • Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) or similar certification.
  • Excellent analytical ability, self-starter, independent, highly motivated, flexible, and capable of dealing with software-related licensing issues.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of a contracts management system.
