Interventional Radiology Technologist

Froedtert South is seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team at Froedtert Pleasant Prairie Hospital. As a key member of our imaging services team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and technical expertise in the Cardiac Cath Lab.
Job SummaryWe are looking for a detail-oriented and compassionate Interventional Radiology Technologist to assist our physicians in providing cardiac patient care. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of diagnostic radiology principles and procedures, as well as experience with radiographic equipment.
Responsibilities- Assist physicians in obtaining or entering data into the Physiologic Monitoring System(s) for accurate assessment of left and/or right-sided Hemodynamic pressure measurements
- Accurately report Ejection Fraction by demonstrating proficiency in the assessment of Cardiac function, utilizing Left Ventricular Analysis program(s)
- Consistently and correctly identifies cardiac structures, coronary vasculature, and the associated disease processes
- Practices radiation safety and observes all principles to ALARA
- Administers contrast safely and in accordance with policy and procedure and within scope of service
- Operate all healthcare (imaging and non-imaging) equipment, consistent with applicable licensure, required to provide patient care and treatments administered in the Interventional Procedure Labs and locations outside the department as needed for procedures
- Licensure to be eligible to practice as a Licensed Radiographer in the State of Wisconsin through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (A.R.R.T.); OR Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
- Graduate of a Cardiovascular Technology program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) with ability to take the Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) exam
- Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, or the ability to obtain certification within 6 weeks of hire
- Current BSL, or the ability to obtain certification within 6 weeks of hire
