  • Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Ensure shop equipment is operating efficiently and perform preventative maintenance as required.
  • Communication and Inventory Management: Assist in communication with external service providers and vendors, and track inventory supplies by verifying orders as needed.
  • Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications.
Requirements
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in the use of all tools of trade, including welding equipment, diagnostic equipment, and hand and power tools.
  • Computer Literacy: Basic computer skills for data entry into maintenance systems.
  • Travel and Availability: Willingness to travel as necessary to other locations within Southern California in a provided company vehicle, and ability to work additional hours when necessary.
  • Personal Qualities: Initiative-taking, critical thinking, problem-solving, and ability to work well with a wide range of individuals.
  • Education and Experience: High School education or equivalent, vocational/technical or certification preferred, and minimum of 3 years of practical experience with tractor trailer maintenance.
  • Safety and Certifications: Safety/OSHA knowledge or certifications, and valid and current CDL driver's license.
