Job Summary
The role involves executing fundamental and routine tasks in preparation for electronic assembly line production.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble units utilizing visual aids, verbal and/or written instructions, and wiring lists.
- Manually mask boards.
- Prepare components for assembly.
- Kit parts using a barcode scanner.
- Operate basic equipment such as swage, wire preparation tools, contact systems, preset dies, and cut-off machines as required.
- Adhere to all procedures outlined in the company security policy.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Management & Supervisory Responsibilities
This position typically reports to management. The direct supervisor's job title usually includes Assembly Line Supervisor.
This role does not directly manage other employees, including hiring, termination, pay decisions, or performance management.
Qualifications
Knowledge Requirements
- Proficient in reading and understanding English verbal and written instructions and documentation.
- Familiarity with ESD, safety protocols, and component identification.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries from managers, clients, customers, and the public.
- Skills in problem-solving, data collection, and drawing valid conclusions.
- Competence in operating a personal computer, including proficiency in a Windows-based operating system and related software.
- Advanced PC skills, including knowledge of Jabil's software packages.
- Capability to write simple correspondence and comprehend visual aids.
- Ability to follow simple one- or two-step instructions and handle standardized situations with minimal variables.
- Proficiency in basic arithmetic operations and interpreting graphs.
Education & Experience Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Alternatively, an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience may be considered.
