Job Description

**Project Engineer Internship Opportunity**

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Project Engineer Intern at General Dynamics Ordnance & Tactical Systems. As a Project Engineer Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including the design, development, and testing of composite missile and space structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide innovative solutions to real-world engineering problems, including challenges with composite materials design, manufacture, and tooling.
  • Assist a Project Engineer in their role as an interface to the Program Office, Senior leadership, and Customer technical staff and Management.
  • Support problem investigations and resolution across functional areas.
  • Aid in the investigation of cutting-edge technologies and the development of plans to affect future opportunities through internal research and development and customer relationships.
  • Provide support in the preparation of technical proposals and monthly financial reports.
  • Support the defining of project needs, staffing requirements, and schedule and budget of project(s).
  • Aid a Project Engineer in updates to program tracking and reporting and the development of plans.
  • Work with a Project Engineer in monitoring projects for progress and scope; aid in monitoring SOW tasks to avoid unplanned or unbudgeted work.
  • Assist in the preparation of status reports and presentations.

Requirements:

  • Completed a minimum of 2 years in an engineering discipline, working toward a BS in Engineering as a full-time student.
  • This is a Year-Round Internship located on-site at our facility.
