We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Professor to support the Public Health Information Technology for D.C. (PHIT4DC) Cooperative Agreement Grant project at the University of the District of Columbia.
Key Responsibilities- Teach assigned courses in public health informatics, healthcare administration, and information technology.
- Oversee internship assignments at healthcare organizations.
- Participate in evaluating and selecting educational materials and preparing course materials and lesson plans.
- Develop and deliver course content using a variety of teaching styles and provide engaging assignments that demonstrate real-world applications of concepts.
- Maintain records of enrollment and attendance, assessments, and grades.
- Provide a classroom environment conducive to learning and establish and maintain classroom control.
- Encourage students to submit course evaluations and use feedback to improve course delivery.
- Regularly communicate with students and refer them to student success units and resources to assist in removing and/or mitigating barriers to employment, education, and career goals.
- Attend all required meetings, events, and official functions as specified by the Dean or Project Director.
- Master's or doctoral degree in a relevant field, such as public health, healthcare administration, or information technology.
- Prior teaching experience or evidence of teaching potential or corporate/industry training.
