ResponsibilitiesThe Radiation Oncology Medical Physicist will provide technical direction to Medical Dosimetrists and Therapists for external beam, stereotactic radiosurgery, prostate implants, IMRT, IGRT, SBRT, and HDR treatments. The Medical Physicist will have the capability to perform 3D, IMRT/VMAT, SRS, SBRT, and HDR Brachytherapy treatment plans as needed based on clinical requirements.

QualificationsPOSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum Education: Master's Degree or Doctorate in Radiological Physics or a closely related field such as physics, biophysics, or health physics.
- Minimum Experience:
- Required Certification/Registration: Passed Part II of ABR board exam; New York State license application submitted within 30 days of start date; BLS certification within 90 days of employment.
Physical Demands: Stands considerable part of the day. Considerable mental and visual demands. Must be alert, in control of equipment, and observation of patient's condition. Working Conditions: Work in a quiet, dedicated, and controlled environment conducive for the concentration necessary to perform the accurate calculations necessary for patient treatments. Lifting of heavy equipment and the handling of extremely sensitive instruments are necessary on a daily basis.
