Aureus Medical Group - Imaging is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join their team in a travel position.
Job SummaryThis is a travel Radiology Technologist position that requires the candidate to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic radiology examinations, preparing patients for procedures, and positioning patients properly to obtain high-quality images.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic radiology examinations in accordance with department policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the procedure to the patient and creating a comfortable environment.
- Position patients properly to obtain the best image while providing a calm and caring demeanor.
- Set equipment to obtain the best density, detail, and contrast of the area being imaged.
- Take preventative steps to avoid unnecessary exposure to radiation.
- Assist in record maintenance and statistics as requested.
- Recognize, report, and record observations and care provided in compliance with SCHS policies and regulatory agencies.
- Stock unit, transport patients, and assist in keeping the unit clean and free of clutter.
- Clean equipment and help identify need for maintenance.
- 1 year minimum experience as a Radiology Technologist.
- Oregon Board of Medical Imaging License.
- ARRT certification.
- BLS certification.
This position provides coverage in the OR and ER and requires floating to other units/departments. The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, and the successful candidate must be able to adapt to changing situations.
