Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Manager to join our team at Grifols. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Plasma Center Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the center, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Plasma Center Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the center, including supervising staff, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Provide support in the preparation of the budget, including projecting production figures and expenses.
  • Research information and data requests made by Regional Manager or BPC, Inc. corporate offices.
  • Instruct staff regarding Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) changes.
  • Maintain currency and follow SOPS at all times.
  • Oversee all Specialty programs at home center as assigned by the Center Operations manager.
  • Coordinate with Sr Specialty Program Manager as needed to manage screening and hyper immune specialty programs.
  • Utilize applicable computer systems for donor and plasma unit management and sample processing systems.
  • Order supplies, provide for supplies in any emergency situation, and oversee inventory and control or reduce over usage.
  • Recruit donors and develop retention incentives.
  • Inspect facility daily to ensure that the interior and exterior is in good condition and clean.
  • Assist with any and all emergency procedures to include appropriate documentation and contact with corporate office when necessary.
Requirements
  • Two years of college level course work in business administration, or biological sciences highly preferred.
  • Some educational background in the field of hematology preferred but not required.
  • Appropriate training while serving with the U.S. Armed Forces can offset the educational requirements.
  • Six months to one year in one of the areas of a Center.
  • One to two years of front line supervisory experience, office work required (may be substituted with outside experience).
  • Successful completion of the BPC, Inc. Manager Trainee program is preferred.
Working Conditions

The Assistant Manager will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and must be able to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. The position requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The Assistant Manager will be required to work in a clean and safe environment, with exposure to human source products, chemicals, and other hazards.

The Assistant Manager will be required to attend before or after work meetings approximately 16 times per year at a minimum, for monthly staff and quarterly meetings. Must be on call for plasma shipments or misc. center needs including freezer malfunction issues.
