About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Crisis Counselor to join our team in San Francisco. As a Crisis Counselor, you will be responsible for providing crisis management and intervention services to youth referred by the San Francisco child welfare system, San Francisco's Department of Public Health, and other local organizations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing crisis management and intervention services to youth in crisis
  • Completing risk assessments, crisis counseling, and creating behavioral plans and safety plans
  • Participating in treatment reviews, family team meetings, and program staff meetings
  • Collaborating with team members, including child welfare workers, caregivers, school staff, therapists, and case managers

Qualifications

Required qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong communication skills and flexibility
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Valid California driver's license and insurability with Seneca's automobile policy
