We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Physical Therapy Office Coordinator to join our team at Athletico Physical Therapy. As a key member of our front office staff, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to our patients and physical therapy staff.
Key Responsibilities- Provide professional and friendly service to all patients and physical therapy staff in all interactions, including issue resolution, scheduling, new patient onboarding, insurance verification, and billing.
- Manage clinic scheduling to ensure patients are matched with the best clinician for their needs and injury, as well as optimize patient flow.
- Coordinate new patient onboarding, including facility tours, data gathering, and physical therapy staff introductions.
- Verify patient medical insurance information and manage patient insurance requirements, informing patients of insurance benefits and options for payments on account.
- Communicate patient progress to physicians, nurse case managers, adjusters, and attorneys on behalf of physical therapists.
- Assist with managing patient expectations based on clinical findings, including frequency and duration of treatment, progression toward functional goals, and discharge planning.
- Organize cultural moments to recognize and appreciate patients' physical therapy goals.
- Execute and reinforce administrative and patient experience Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and best practices within the clinic.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Excellent customer service skills
- Proficient with MS Office, Outlook, and Excel
- Knowledge of healthcare insurance benefits and coverage preferred
- Experience with requesting and managing customer payments preferred
- Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently
- Spanish speaking preferred
- Consistent with a standard office environment, noise level is low with little to no extraordinary environmental factors.
