Job Summary

The Director of Assessment and Referral plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and orderly admissions process at The BridgeWay. This position is responsible for directing, implementing, and coordinating the referral and admissions process, while also supervising and providing direction to the Assessment and Referral department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receives incoming inquiry calls and assesses patients for admission
  • Makes appropriate referrals and ensures compliance with Joint Commission standards, CMS, state health department, and other regulatory standards
  • Supervises and provides direction to the Assessment and Referral department
  • Works with other members of the leadership team to ensure outstanding customer service and quality care
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Psychology, Sociology, or a related field required
  • Licensed Registered Nurse preferred
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Ability to assess the physical, emotional, and psychological needs of patients
  • Ability to determine suitability of admission to the hospital based on clinical and financial criteria
  • Ability to prioritize and assign tasks and hold staff responsible for their completion
