Key Responsibilities

The Radiology Technician II/CT Technologist is responsible for performing various imaging procedures, including Diagnostic Radiography, Computed Tomography (CT), Mammography, Bone Density assessments, Ultrasound, and other specialized procedures in accordance with departmental protocols. This role serves as the primary point of contact for patients, ensuring their imaging needs are met effectively.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Participating in Performance Improvement and Quality Control initiatives.
  • Assisting in the maintenance of the Performance Improvement Program.
  • Overseeing the radiology area and/or staff in the absence of management.
  • Managing department supplies and equipment.
  • Facilitating scheduling for assigned sub-departments.
  • Processing and transmitting images to the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Current licensure and fluoroscopy permit as mandated by state regulations.
  • As of July 1, 2017, national certifications in two imaging modalities are required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Familiarity with state and federal regulations is essential.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in Acute Clinical Radiography is preferred.
  • Graduation from a program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).
  • Proficient computer skills are necessary.
