The Maintenance Mechanic II is responsible for the upkeep and repair of various machinery and mechanical systems. This role involves diagnosing issues, executing repairs, and ensuring optimal performance of production equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor machinery operations and listen for unusual sounds to identify potential issues.
- Disassemble equipment to access and replace faulty components.
- Conduct repairs or replacements of defective parts as necessary.
- Test machinery post-repair to confirm operational efficiency.
- Utilize metalworking tools such as lathes and drill presses to fabricate replacement parts.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance activities.
- Inspect components for wear and assess dimensional changes.
- Adjust and install functional parts and control devices in machinery.
- Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical systems.
- Perform welding and fabrication tasks as required.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene practices to prevent contamination.
- Availability for shift work and on-call emergency response.
- 1-3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or food processing setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- Trade school or vocational training is preferred but not essential.
- Proficient in English, with conversational Spanish as a plus.
- Ability to perform basic math and problem-solving tasks.
- Fork Truck Operator Certification is required.
