Position Summary:

Reporting to the Administrator, the HR Coordinator will oversee all HR functions in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations. This role also includes managing specific business office tasks such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, and patient trust management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a liaison between management and staff, addressing inquiries and resolving workplace issues.
  • Facilitate the benefits explanation and enrollment process during new hire orientation and open enrollment periods.
  • Ensure completion of I-9 and E-Verify processes for new hires within the first three days of employment.
  • Manage and track background investigation requests for applicants, including criminal background checks and license verifications.
  • Input missed time punches into the attendance system daily.
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing each pay period, conducting audits of payroll and HR programs as necessary.
  • Maintain and update HRIS database records for new hires, terminations, and other employment status changes.
  • Conduct new hire orientations and assist in recruitment efforts, including job advertising and interview scheduling.
  • Ensure all onboarding paperwork is properly filed and scanned into the HRIS database.
  • Review termination documentation to ensure compliance and non-discriminatory practices.
  • Consult with the Regional HR Manager or Lead HR Director prior to any terminations.
  • Provide information to current and prospective employees regarding policies, job responsibilities, working conditions, and benefits.
  • Handle challenging situations, including understaffing and employee grievances, while upholding company policies.
  • Maintain confidentiality in all HR matters.
  • Generate monthly reports from the learning management system for the Administrator.
Business Office Management Duties:
  • Update daily census and manage billing setups.
  • Ensure admission agreements are signed promptly.
  • Oversee therapy funding verifications and trust fund management.
  • Handle daily deposits and mail distribution.
  • Communicate effectively with accounts receivable and billing specialists.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to engage positively with residents and families, fostering a cooperative work environment.
  • Compliance with local health regulations and successful completion of a post-offer health assessment.
  • Relevant HR and Business Office experience to fulfill job requirements.
  • Proficient in computer usage and necessary skills for the role.
  • Familiarity with office equipment and a typing speed of at least 45 words per minute.
