Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Claims Specialist to join our team at InterMed, P.A. This is a full-time position with an estimated annual salary of $55,000 - $65,000.

About the Job:

  • Review insurance claims for accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure provider information is correct.
  • Resolve claim rejections or denials.
  • Manage Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA) for patient balances.
  • Process refunds according to insurer protocols.
  • Submit appeal/reconsideration requests to insurers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • One to three years of accounts receivable experience in healthcare preferred.
  • CPC certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of insurance reimbursement procedures and medical billing office practices.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member and maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent critical thinking and communication skills.
