Physical Therapist PRN Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist PRN Specialist to join our team at Ochsner Health System. As a Physical Therapist PRN Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our Physical Therapy Department.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, organize, and conduct physical therapy treatment programs based on evaluation, assessment, and medical referral.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient care records, evaluating patient response to treatment and recommending treatment plan changes as needed.
- Participate in in-service and continuing education programs to stay up-to-date on the latest physical therapy techniques and best practices.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
- Conduct patient evaluations and assessments to identify areas for improvement and develop targeted treatment plans.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Stay current on federal, state, and local laws, accreditation standards, and regulatory agency requirements that apply to the Physical Therapy Department.
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy.
- Current physical therapy license in the state of practice or eligibility for licensure by examination or reciprocity from another state.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex patient data and develop effective treatment plans.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
