Registered Respiratory Care Specialist

The Registered Respiratory Therapist is credentialed by the National Board of Respiratory Care, specializing in delivering Cardiopulmonary Services.
Key Responsibilities:
The therapist is tasked with adhering to established protocols sanctioned by the medical team and departmental guidelines to ensure prompt diagnostic and therapeutic interventions for both inpatient and outpatient populations.
Specific Duties Include:
- Assisting medical professionals with both invasive and non-invasive procedures.
- Administering medicated aerosols through medical compressed gas systems.
- Maintaining patient airways and managing ventilators.
- Performing arterial line insertions and intubations.
- Conducting pulmonary function assessments and cardiac/pulmonary stress evaluations.
- Collecting and analyzing blood gas samples.
Work Schedule:
This position operates on a day shift from 7 AM to 7 PM, consisting of three 12-hour shifts per week, with a weekend rotation required. There is no on-call duty associated with this role.
Qualifications:
Mandatory certifications include ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP.
