Radiologic Technologist

CodeForce requires licensure and certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and a current BLS Certification.
Education and Training:
A graduate of an approved training institution with a working knowledge of CT exam performance is required.
Key Responsibilities:
To be successful in this role, an individual must be able to perform the following essential functions satisfactorily:
- Prepare patients for radiologic procedures and escort them to dressing and/or exam rooms.
- Provide verbal and/or written instructions to patients and assist them in positioning body parts to be imaged.
- Explain procedures to patients and observe them to ensure patient care, safety, and comfort during scans.
- Operate radiologic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes and position radiologic equipment and adjust controls to set exposure time and distance according to examination specifications.
- Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to ensure the safety of patients and team members.
- Maintain radiologic equipment in working order and report equipment malfunctions to the Radiology Manager.
- Ensure adequate radiologic supplies are available.
Administrative Duties:
The successful candidate will also perform related administrative duties, including:
- Scheduling patients and placing orders.
- Archiving images in PACS and moving them to the reading platform.
- Completing necessary exam-specific forms and maintaining repeat, QC, and patient holding logs.
- Collecting STATS data and troubleshooting issues related to patient accounts, orders, exams, prior imaging, and other occurrences.
Additional Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have the ability to:
- Perform EKG tests, DEXA scans, and CT scans independently and proficiently.
- Demonstrate knowledge and compliance with facility-wide and departmental policies and procedures.
- Exhibit flexibility in response to changing work situations, including schedule changes, leaving early, staying late, or taking late breaks when workload calls for it.
- Rotate through the call schedule according to the weekly needs of the department.
- Actively participate in the Compliance Program, education/in-services, competencies, and demonstrate compliance with required laws and regulations.
- Maintain current licensure/registration/certification.
Work Schedule:
This role requires a Day Shift schedule, with rotation through the on-call schedule, including weekly weeknight coverage and monthly weekend coverage.
