Physical Therapist Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to provide high-quality patient care and support our team of licensed physical therapists. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in musculoskeletal anatomy and physiology, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities- Assist licensed physical therapists in implementing customized treatment plans for patients.
- Perform and document musculoskeletal examinations on prospective employees to ensure they are fit for duty.
- Evaluate patients in tandem with staff physicians who have limitations or work restrictions and determine fitness for duty.
- Perform relevant employee testing, including urinalysis, hearing, vision, and TB screenings.
- Administer vaccinations and perform phlebotomy (training available).
- Evaluate patients for returning to work after injury or illness.
- Conduct employee training on health and safety.
- Monitor and document patient progress during therapy sessions.
- Educate patients and their families on exercises and techniques for continued improvement.
- Collaborate with the physical therapy team to ensure effective patient care.
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Willingness to be certified in DOT urine collections and Breath Alcohol Testing (training provided).
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and orthopedics is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and colleagues.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documenting patient progress.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and basic computer skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and treatments.
