Objective: Under the supervision of the IT Manager, the selected candidate will undertake intricate responsibilities in the development, installation, integration, administration, and upkeep of restaurant-related applications, specifically the Aloha POS system. This role will contribute to the strategic vision and play a pivotal role in significant IT initiatives within the restaurant sector. The individual will be a vital resource for major implementations, upgrades, and migrations of IT Restaurant systems, addressing substantial business challenges through innovative Information Technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and/or participate in essential projects related to the Aloha POS system.
- Collaborate with IT applications, operations teams, and business units to assess requirements and devise scalable, strategic, and cost-efficient solutions to address specific business needs.
- Engage in the assessment of new IT Restaurant solutions to enhance existing functionalities.
- Serve as a key contributor in the deployment of IT Restaurant solutions, adhering to established change control protocols in collaboration with relevant operational and application teams.
- Provide technical assistance for restaurant operations, including after-hours support as necessary.
- Identify opportunities for automation to optimize the interaction of tools and infrastructure, thereby enhancing the efficiency of processes and resource management.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline is preferred.
- A minimum of 4-6 years of experience in configuring Aloha POS Systems.
- Demonstrated experience across all phases of the software development lifecycle.
- Familiarity with configuration management principles is advantageous.
- Extensive knowledge of Aloha POS, Configuration Center (CFC), Command Center (CMC), Aloha Take Out (ATO), Aloha Kitchen (AK), Connected Payments (CP), and DataMart is essential.
- Understanding of POS peripheral devices such as scanners, printers, and payment terminals.
- Knowledge of SCCM and SCOM is beneficial.
- Awareness of PCI-DSS and related security best practices and tools, including OS patching, antivirus, and logging.
