About the Role:

Marian Regional Medical Center, a 191-bed facility located in the Santa Maria Valley, is recognized for its exceptional patient care and commitment to excellence. As a Health Information Tech with CommonSpirit Health, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of patient records.

Responsibilities:

  • Obtain and review discharged patient records to ensure completeness and accuracy
  • Handle requests for medical records in a timely and efficient manner
  • Prepare and analyze out-patient, emergency, inpatient, and same-day care records
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare professionals

Requirements:

  • Medical record experience and knowledge of HIPAA laws
  • Proficiency with 10-key and ability to type 40 wpm
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Preferred: Completion of Medical Terminology Course
