Civil Engineer Intern - Transportation

Halff is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern for our Transportation team in our Fort Worth, TX office who is set to graduate in December 2025 or May 2026.

The Civil Engineering Intern will assist in the planning and design of Transportation Design for roadway & highway design projects while working as part of a design team under the direct supervision of a PE.

Civil Engineer Intern - Transportation Responsibilities:
Be part of a team that designs civil engineering projects under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer
Assist in the preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates for Transportation projects
Assist with drafting CAD work and help perform calculations and analysis for design projects
Assist in the preparation of permit applications and other regulatory documents
Coordinate with other team members, including surveyors and contractors

Civil Engineer Intern - Transportation Requirements:
Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering Degree (December 2024, May 2025 and December 2025 Graduates)
Valid Driver's License and acceptable Driving Record
Great communication skills
Solid relationship and team building skills
Self-motivated and strong organization skills

Civil Engineer Intern - Transportation Preferred Requirements:
Experience in Transportation Design for roadway & highway design projects
Experience in MicroStation and/or OpenRoads Designer
Knowledge of applicable roadway and drainage modules

Interns are paid hourly and work full-time (40 hours/week), typically 8a-5p Monday through Friday.

Halff does not pay for or provide housing for Internships.
