About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled CAD Designer to join our team at Westwood Professional Services, Inc. As a CAD Designer, you will be responsible for performing plan production for civil engineering projects related to Transportation and Public Infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize computer-aided drafting and design software to prepare construction details, design plans, reports, and meeting exhibits.
  • Transfer information from engineering markups and computer files to final plans and maps.
  • Visualize and illustrate concept or designs in 2 or 3 dimensions.
  • Perform tasks under close supervision or from detailed procedures.

Requirements:

  • Proficient in specialized civil design applications for AutoCAD.
  • Proficient in other widely used computer applications (i.e., Microsoft Office).
  • Basic knowledge of computer file directories and use.
  • Knowledge of standard civil construction plans, details, and related documents.
  • Fundamental understanding of various basic civil engineering principles and design procedures.
  • Able to assist in the preparation of construction quantity and cost estimates.
