Position Opportunity:


General Dynamics Electric Boat, a leader in the design and construction of nuclear submarines, is looking for an IT Systems Coordination Specialist to enhance our Information Technology (EBIT) Department.


This role is essential in supporting a comprehensive strategy aimed at modernizing the company's IT framework while ensuring a robust cybersecurity posture.

Candidates should possess familiarity with Microsoft applications, various commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) licensing platforms, Active Directory, and cybersecurity protocols.

Role Summary:
The IT Systems Coordination Specialist will leverage IT expertise in a dynamic construction environment, focusing on the following responsibilities:

1. Assist in security audits and vulnerability evaluations.
2. Engage in penetration testing activities.
3. Serve as a subject matter expert for endpoint vulnerability mitigation across multiple systems.
4. Collaborate effectively with senior executive personnel.
5. Monitor system performance and propose enhancements.
6. Address user inquiries and resolve technical challenges related to specialized systems.
7. Translate NIST and RMF security guidelines into actionable tasks.
8. Install and configure new software and hardware solutions.
9. Support a diverse range of IT infrastructure initiatives.
10. Assist various departments with cybersecurity and electronic discovery processes.
11. Facilitate the organization's transition to cloud-based solutions.

Qualifications:

Essential:
A Bachelor's degree in IT (2 or 4-year) or a high school diploma combined with 5-10 years of relevant experience and certifications.

Certifications:
CompTIA A+ (mandatory), CompTIA Security+ (mandatory), BTL1 (preferred)

Must possess an Active Secret Security Clearance with the Department of Defense.

Desirable:
Experience in both IT and naval (or military) sectors, reflecting the unique nature of EB's federal contracting role alongside the IT responsibilities of this position.

In-depth understanding of NIST and RMF security frameworks.

Comprehensive knowledge of Windows 10, Active Directory, imaging, vulnerability management, software installation and licensing, cybersecurity controls and technologies, and electronic discovery processes.

Physical Requirements:
Kneeling, light lifting, reaching, stooping, and twisting.
