Aerospace & Defense Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Aerospace & Defense Procurement Specialist to join our team at SURGE Staffing. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for purchasing materials, outside services, office supplies, and other business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Purchase and source materials, services, and supplies to meet operational requirements and budgetary goals.
- Negotiate with vendors and suppliers to obtain the best pricing and terms.
- Review purchase orders for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Collaborate with production, project management, and quality assurance teams to forecast material needs and address supply chain issues.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage stock replenishment to prevent shortages and excesses.
Requirements:
- Must be able to follow AS9100 QMS requirements for purchasing.
- Experience as a buyer in a machine shop environment is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to read and comprehend detailed work instructions.
- Ability to prioritize work and work multiple projects simultaneously.
