About the Role
Betterment is seeking a highly skilled Staff Site Reliability Engineer to join our team. As a Staff Site Reliability Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our cloud-based systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable and reliable cloud-based systems using AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and other technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize system improvements and enhancements.
- Develop and maintain monitoring and observability tools to ensure system performance and reliability.
- Participate in on-call rotations to ensure timely resolution of production issues.
- Contribute to the development of technical documentation and knowledge sharing within the team.
Requirements
- Expertise in cloud native technologies, including AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and containerization.
- Strong understanding of software development best practices, including Agile methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Experience with automation, infrastructure as code, and configuration management.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Passion for software engineering and a desire to continuously learn and improve.
