About the Role

As a Staff Site Reliability Engineer, you'll be a trusted partner throughout the organization, working to ensure the smooth operation of our systems and services. You'll build tools for our development teams, improve reliability and performance, and enable monitoring and visibility into our services.

This role is based out of our NYC office, and you'll have the opportunity to work with a talented team of engineers to deliver new tools and systems that make engineering more impactful. You'll also maintain and improve current systems, leveraging a range of technologies including AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and more.


Responsibilities
  • Improve our software delivery pipeline to make it expedient and encourage a culture of high code quality
  • Work with business units to scale and design systems that are highly available and resilient
  • Make substantial code contributions to our applications and configuration management software
  • Weigh in on design documents and perform code reviews, providing valuable and actionable feedback to peers
  • Participate in on-call cycles and collaborate with the team to resolve issues

Requirements
  • Expertise in software development toolchains and environments, CI/CD pipelines, SLIs/SLOs, and Observability
  • Depth of experience building reliable, scalable, and secure cloud-native solutions that enable development teams to operate independently
  • Experience with automation, infrastructure as code, and configuration management
  • Experience with container-based applications and cloud infrastructure
  • Demonstrated understanding of software development best practices and a passion for creating what doesn't yet exist
