Boulder Community Health is in search of a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Intensive Care Unit (ICU). This role involves delivering high-quality patient care, implementing nursing interventions, and assessing patient outcomes effectively.
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rate of $60.80 for full-time night shifts, totaling 36 hours per week. Additional compensation includes a night differential and an extra $2.50 per hour for weekend shifts. A sign-on bonus of $10,000 is also available.

Qualifications:
- Valid Colorado RN license in good standing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required by the end of the conditional period
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification needed before the end of the conditional period
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification to be obtained within six months of hire
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide coordinated nursing care for critically ill or injured patients across all age groups, ensuring respect for diversity
- In emergency situations, deliver care for critically injured pediatric patients with the support of medical professionals
- Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles to tailor care and education for patients and families
- Exhibit proficiency in rhythm recognition, ACLS protocols, hemodynamics, and fundamental critical care nursing principles
- Systematically assess patient conditions and utilize critical thinking to respond to clinical changes
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement individualized patient care plans
- Utilize patient education tools to develop tailored education plans based on assessed learning needs
- May be required to conduct point-of-care testing and moderate complexity lab testing
- Commit to patient safety and quality improvement initiatives, adapting to evolving standards of care
- Act as a liaison for patients and their families, ensuring effective communication and support
