Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation and Presentation: Plan and prepare all food products for three daily meals, including entrees, side dishes, garnishes, baked goods, and desserts, ensuring that all meals are prepared to acceptable quality under safe and sanitary conditions.
- Culinary Operations Management: Monitor equipment, cooking schedules, temperatures, coolers, and food rotations to ensure efficient and safe food preparation and service.
- Leadership and Training: Train and direct culinary staff, plan and assign work tasks, and monitor staff production to ensure high-quality food service.
- Quality Control: Troubleshoot production concerns daily and implement corrective actions to maintain high-quality food service.
- Customer Service: Lead and assist in the assembly and transport of meal trays for patients and residents, ensuring that all meals are delivered in a timely and courteous manner.
Requirements:
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Three years of institutional cooking experience required, with leadership experience preferred.
- Training and Certification: Training experience preferred, with certification in food safety and sanitation a plus.
