Job Summary

This role supports the firm's global derivatives business by providing essential negotiation and contract administration support for ISDA contracts and other OTC derivatives and clearing documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all stages of the contract process from initial drafting to execution.
  • Handle internal and external escalations and escalate to senior manager when necessary.
  • Advise internal partners on the terms of agreements being negotiated and the impact of external counterparties' requested terms.
  • Reliably partner with internal operational and business teams to support the firm's global platinum client relationships.
  • Stay informed of regulatory changes, new regulations, internal policy changes, and developments in the law.
  • Assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets.
Requirements
  • 5-8 years of relevant industry experience, preferably in financial services.
  • Banking or financial industry experience, including laws related to banking regulations.
  • Knowledge of international laws, regulations, and practices, staying abreast of the regulatory and legal environment, internal policies, and industry trends that impact the business.
  • Experience with complex deals, demonstrated ability to analyze issues and develop legal solutions.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain trusted relationships.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and relationship management skills.
  • Proven ability to apply sound judgment while managing assignments in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
  • Well-developed understanding of the ISDA Master Agreement and related supporting documentation.
  • Bar license in good standing to practice law.

  • Juris Doctorate or equivalent law degree.
