Job DescriptionAs a Railroad Signal Equipment Specialist at CPKC, you will work on a specified assigned territory, mostly alone, with occasional physically demanding tasks. Your primary responsibilities include performing FRA regulatory tests and inspections of signal systems, installing, repairing, and maintaining various equipment such as signals, lights, switch machines, and crossing warning devices.

- Install, repair, and maintain various equipment such as signals, lights, switch machines, and crossing warning devices.
- Cable locates, painting, and housekeeping of signal housings & equipment.
- Climb and troubleshoot signal structures and make electrical connections.
To succeed in this role, you must be able to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions and have previous working knowledge of signaling systems from railroad or related industry. A valid driver's license is also required, and ability to obtain a medical card is necessary.
- Work experience with heavy equipment such as a backhoe, trencher would be an asset.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Ability to obtain medical card.
