Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Interior Superintendent to oversee and manage framing operations for commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial framing and a proven history of successfully managing framing projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage framing teams on multiple commercial construction projects.
  • Ensure all framing work adheres to project plans, specifications, and industry standards.
  • Monitor and maintain a safe and productive work environment.

Scheduling and Coordination:

  • Develop and maintain project schedules in collaboration with the project manager.
  • Coordinate framing activities with other trades, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Anticipate and resolve scheduling conflicts to keep projects on track.

Quality Assurance:

  • Enforce strict quality control measures to ensure the highest standards of workmanship.
  • Conduct regular inspections and address any issues or deficiencies promptly.
  • Implement best practices to enhance framing quality and efficiency.

Resource Management:

  • Manage labor, equipment, and material resources efficiently.
  • Procure materials and equipment as needed, optimizing costs and delivery times.
  • Oversee inventory management and control.

Communication:

  • Maintain clear and effective communication with project stakeholders, including the project manager, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Report project progress, challenges, and solutions regularly.

Safety Compliance:

  • Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations on job sites.
  • Promote a culture of safety among framing teams and subcontractors.
  • Investigate and report safety incidents, taking corrective actions, as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Framing Superintendent in commercial construction projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of framing techniques, materials, and industry best practices.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Effective communication and people skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans.
  • OSHA certification (preferred).
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field (preferred).

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to pass drug test.
  • Must be able to pass background check to drive company vehicle.
  • Travel required.
  • Accomplish tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Work primarily outdoors, occasionally indoors, in all types of weather conditions/environments.
  • Understanding of how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
  • Be able to operate small equipment such as scissor lift, man lift, skid steer, mini excavator, power tools, laser, etc.
  • Challenge others to develop as leaders while serving as a role model and mentor.
  • Have small hand tools as required.
  • Continue your own industry education and knowledge.

Schedule:

  • Monday – Friday in office
  • 8-hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Evenings and Weekends as needed
