Physician Director

Grifols is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Center Medical and Laboratory Director to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of medical and laboratory practices at our donor centers.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide medical and laboratory leadership to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and company standards.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of donors and employees.
- Collaborate with the Division Medical Director and Center Management to ensure effective communication and coordination.
- Conduct physical examinations and medical histories on donors, and ensure compliance with FDA-approved Standard Operating Procedures.
- Review and analyze data to confirm donor suitability, safety, and product safety.
- Provide training and certification to center medical staff and physicians on donor assessment and compliance.
- Manage and administer donor counseling, testing, and follow-up of employee exposure to blood or plasma.
- Act as Technical and Clinical Consultant for CLIA-regulated testing and ensure compliance with 42 CFR, Part 493, Laboratory Requirements.
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.)
- Current, unrestricted license in the state where the center operates
- Maintain current CPR certification
- Evidence of fulfillment of CLIA requirements as Director of a Laboratory of Moderate Complexity
- Ability to read and write the English Language
- Ability to use a PC
- Manual dexterity to perform technical duties
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift, tug, pull up to twenty (20) pounds
- Ability to articulate clearly
- Ability to travel via automobile and/or airplane as needed
