About This Role

As a Banking Relationship Specialist, you'll play a vital role in ConnectOne's Client First banking experience by acquiring, retaining, and expanding banking relationships with both business and consumer clients. You'll demonstrate our ConnectOne Culture by greeting clients by name, maintaining a professional demeanor, and working as an active member of the Branch team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Bank's People First focus and rules of engagement
  • Proactively identify opportunities for relationship acquisition and development
  • Perform account opening for deposit products and educate clients on the Bank's product and service offerings
  • Ensure all activities, transactions, and records are in compliance with operational, security, and control procedures of the Bank
  • Handle customer service issues by conducting research, taking ownership, and following up with clients as necessary
  • Assist other branch team members with transactions and overall operations, as needed
  • Perform service transactions for the Branch, including check re-orders, address/name changes, safe deposit box access, outbound wires, account maintenance, and outbound client contact
  • Serve as primary back-up to the Branch Manager or Assistant Branch Manager, as applicable
  • Assist with Teller functions, including performing banking transactions over the phone or at the drive-up window
Requirements
  • Strong needs-based sales skills
  • One to three years of bank platform sales and teller experience
  • Detailed understanding of federal banking compliance and requirements
  • Strong People First interest and ability
  • Strong ability to assess and meet the needs of customers and/or solve customer problems
  • Effective teambuilding and interpersonal communication abilities
  • Ability to lift items up to 25 lbs
