Cybersecurity Network Architect

At Leidos, we are seeking a skilled Transport Network Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who want to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the success of our projects.
About the RoleThis role involves supporting the Navy's efforts to unify its shore-based networks and data management through the Service Management, Integration, and Transport (SMIT) program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for analyzing, designing, planning, and supporting the NMCI transport areas.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the analysis, design, and planning of upgrades, replacements, configurations, and maintenance of networking/transport projects.
- Develop and implement engineering solutions that provide secure, effective, and efficient operation of systems, architecture, and topology for transport.
- Collaborate with technical experts to synthesize solutions related to transport.
- Participate in the analysis, review, and validation of NMCI projects and changes related to transport with customers, stakeholders, and team members.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Bachelor's Degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with less than 2 years of experience.
- Experience working on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- An active Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship.
- Technical knowledge and skills in one or more of the following areas: BAN/LAN/WLAN/WAN, cross domain solutions, communications security, and piers connectivity networks, designing/architecting.
- Hands-on experience in working with DoD networks.
The salary range for this position is $57,850 - $104,575 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
