Unlock a career in network engineering with Leidos, a leading provider of IT services to the Navy. As a Transport Network Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and maintenance of the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) network.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert-level support in network engineering, focusing on voice, video, and data communications. This includes experience in BAN/LAN/WLAN/WAN, cross-domain solutions, communications security, and piers connectivity networks.

You will work closely with our team to analyze, design, plan, and implement NMCI transport projects. Your expertise will ensure the secure, effective, and efficient operation of systems, architecture, and topology for transport.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the modernization and expansion of the NMCI network. You will participate in new and existing IT projects related to transport, collaborating with technical experts to synthesize solutions.

Your work will involve analysis, review, and validation of NMCI projects and changes related to transport. You must comply with ITSM processes and procedures, as well as Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) governance and Cybersecurity requirements within the DoDI 8500.01 and DON 5239.

In this role, you will also support the development and maintenance of engineering processes, checklists, and procedures for transport.

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's Degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related field from an accredited college or university.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience or Master's degree with less than 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Two or more years' experience on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • Active Secret clearance.
  • Technical knowledge and skills in one or more of the following areas: BAN/LAN/WLAN/WAN, cross domain solutions, communications security, and piers connectivity networks.
  • Experience working in large information technology enterprise environments.
  • Hands-on experience in working with DoD networks.
Salary and Benefits
