Position Overview:

We are in search of a vigilant Security and Loss Control Specialist to oversee the integrity of our inventory. This role entails monitoring store activities, identifying suspicious behavior, and taking appropriate action to recover stolen merchandise. The ideal candidate will have the capability to blend into the environment while maintaining a watchful eye. A proactive approach to safety and security is essential, as this position may require confronting potential threats to ensure a safe shopping atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patrol the store to identify any unusual activities among customers and staff.
  • Recognize potential theft behaviors exhibited by individuals.
  • Engage with individuals displaying suspicious actions to ascertain their intentions.
  • Follow company protocols to detain individuals involved in theft.
  • Maintain detailed records of theft incidents and security breaches observed during shifts.
  • Document all theft attempts and successful incidents for reporting purposes.
  • Recover stolen items and ensure their return to the sales floor.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement when necessary to address shoplifting or employee dishonesty.
  • Provide testimony as needed in legal settings or during investigations.
  • Contribute ideas for enhancing theft prevention strategies within the store.
Qualifications:
  • In-depth understanding of retail operations and effective loss prevention methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills with a knack for problem-solving.
