Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Prepare Fire Sprinkler System Plans: Develop detailed fire sprinkler system plans and specifications that meet safety standards and client requirements.
  • Conduct Hydraulic Calculations: Perform hydraulic calculations to ensure fire sprinkler system effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Engineers and Contractors: Work with engineers, architects, and contractors to integrate fire protection systems into building designs.
  • Ensure Compliance with NFPA Standards: Ensure all designs comply with NFPA standards and local codes.
  • Review and Approve Shop Drawings: Review and approve shop drawings and submittals from contractors.
  • Provide Technical Support: Provide technical support and guidance to project managers during installation and testing phases.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven Experience: Proven experience as a Fire Sprinkler Designer or in a similar role.
  • Strong Understanding of NFPA Codes: Strong understanding of NFPA codes and standards.
  • NICET Certification: NICET certification in fire protection preferred.
  • Design Software Proficiency: Proficiency in AutoCAD and other design software.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
