Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Medical-Surgical Unit at New London Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize the nursing process to assess patient needs, develop individualized care plans, and implement evidence-based interventions.
  • Provide age-appropriate care to patients, adhering to established practice standards and procedures.
  • Document patient care using hospital standards, ensuring accurate and timely recording of patient information.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary discharge planning, ensuring a smooth transition of care for patients.
  • Take charge assignments, overseeing other staff members, and assist in the orientation of new employees to the Medical-Surgical Unit.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current state license.
  • Current ACLS Certification (or obtain within 3 months of hire date).
