Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpreting model building codes and standards
  • Conducting engineering calculations
  • Creating system layout designs
  • Assessing existing conditions
  • Collaborating with various disciplines to ensure precision in drawings
  • Evaluating design documentation
  • Maintaining effective communication with clients and management

The Mechanical HVAC Specialist will be instrumental in developing calculations, sizing equipment, and drafting specifications for projects, ensuring thoroughness and collaboration with other trades.

Work Arrangement

This position supports a hybrid work model, requiring 3 days in the office each week.

Qualifications

Essential qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in HVAC
  • Expertise in AutoCAD and Microstation software
  • Familiarity with applicable codes and standards

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in Fire Protection and Plumbing system design
  • Background in the industrial service sector
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred
