Role Overview:
The Amazon Transportation Privacy Team is dedicated to overseeing privacy within the Last Mile Organization. Our primary objective is to ensure that individuals are fully informed about the data we collect, process, and share, while also impressing regulators with the quality, transparency, and precision of our privacy documentation. This role serves as a privacy subject-matter expert, collaborating with legal and technology teams to support our strategic vision.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage multiple privacy initiatives concurrently with a strong sense of urgency.
• Navigate ambiguity effectively and utilize data to drive outcomes.
• Conduct in-depth operational analyses of privacy-related processes and systems, identifying mitigation strategies through analytical techniques.
• Perform privacy assessments for both launched and upcoming applications, collaborating with developers to ensure compliance with privacy obligations.
• Work in partnership with internal stakeholders across Worldwide Operations, Legal, and federated privacy teams to integrate privacy considerations into projects and decision-making processes.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of evolving privacy regulations and standards.
• Identify, collect, monitor, and report on privacy metrics.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree
• 5+ years of experience in Privacy or compliance
• 5+ years of experience leading projects involving automated and manual systems while supporting internal clients across various geographic regions.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Advanced degree (Juris Doctor) is preferred
• CIPP Certification(s)
• 8+ years of experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Team-oriented mindset with adaptability to shifting privacy landscapes.

Compensation:
Our compensation reflects the labor market across various US geographic regions. The base salary for this position ranges from $107,400/year in our lowest geographic market to $229,700/year in our highest geographic market. Compensation is influenced by factors such as market location and may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon offers a comprehensive compensation package, which may include equity, sign-on bonuses, and a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
