About the Role

We are offering a competitive salary of $85,000 - $110,000 annually, depending on experience. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of event planning or project/program management experience, flexibility, initiative, and ability to work independently and plan work to meet deadlines across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to deliver events and workshops related to the implementation of open innovation challenges for MIT Solve and select clients. The primary focus will be on the Indigenous Communities Fellowship and programs fostering equity in the U.S. Responsibilities include coordinating challenge design process, drafting challenge description, guidelines, and FAQs, and reviewing challenge submissions to ensure quality and diversity standards are met.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field
  • At least three years of event planning or project/program management experience
  • Flexibility, initiative, and ability to work independently
  • Experience with non-coastal regions of the U.S.
  • Familiarity with current topics in indigenous communities and sovereignty in the U.S. and Canada

Benefits

Flexible workplace policy allowing staff to work from anywhere in the U.S. Staff will be asked to be in person for select events and required to be in Cambridge for four weeks a year plus one week during onboarding.
